Frances Elizabeth "Boots" Keyes Lewis, 84, of Bedford passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, June 30, 2022, surrounded by her family.
Born in Lynchburg on February 25, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Leslie and Evelyn Keyes.
She was the wife of the late Harold Lewis.
She was preceded in death by her two sons, Pete, and Brad Lewis; one brother, Melvin Keyes; and one sister-in-love, Nancy Martin.
Left to cherish her memories are her daughter, Desiree Lewis (Stephanie) of Bedford; her grandchildren, Stuart Lewis (Wendi), Mathew Lewis (Kathryn), Cole Lewis, and Courtney Lewis (Nick); four great-grandchildren, Camden, Bryce, Mercy and Elizabeth Lewis; her brothers, Bobby (Jackie), Clinton (Janie), Sonny (Rose) and Billy (Michelle) Keyes; and a host of nieces, nephews and adopted kids and grandkids that loved her dearly.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Tuesday, July 5, 2022, at Burch-Messier Walnut Street Chapel, 1235 Walnut Street, Bedford with Rev. John Sines, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in Virginia Memorial Park. Arrangements by Burch-Messier Funeral Home, Bedford.
