Bonnie Sue McDonald, 78, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Wednesday, May 10, 2023 at her home.
Funeral services was held 11 AM, Saturday, May 13, 2023, at The Paulk Funeral Home Chapel in Fitzgerald, Georgia, with Pastor Kenny Wells and Pastor Charles Smith officiating. Interment followed in the Evergreen Cemetery in Fitzgerald, Georgia.
Mrs. McDonald was born December 26, 1944, in Greenville, Alabama, to the late Winfred & Doris Pittman Maddox. Mrs. McDonald was dedicated to her faith and family. She traveled all over this country as a wife of a career Marine of 22 years. Mrs. McDonald loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Guy McDonald, Sr. of Fitzgerald; four children: Guy & Lori McDonald of Acworth, Sharon McDonald of Fitzgerald, Terry & Brooke McDonald of Valdosta, and Brad & Michelle McDonald of Tifton; 12 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren and three sisters. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Jeannie Thompson and a grandson, Zane McDonald.
