Mrs. Clifton was born on August 18, 1926 in Johnston County, NC, to the late Percy E. and Gladys Coates Adams. She was preceded in death by her brother, Fleetwood Adams and a sister, Melba A. Chandler. Mrs. Clifton was a retired cosmetologist, and member of Benson United Methodist Church in Benson, NC. She supported and helped with local recovery programs for men and women.
Survivors include her sister, Sarah Adams Russell of Newnan, GA; and many loving nieces and nephews.
