Services were Sunday, Jan. 8, at 4 p.m., in the Smith-Perry Funeral Home Chapel, with Dr. Ricky Pollard and Rev. Jerry Patton officiating. Burial was Monday, Jan. 9, at 11 a.m., in Cherokee Memory Gardens, with Smith-Perry Funeral Home directing.
Mrs. Winkles is survived by her husband, James Thomas Winkles; a daughter, Linda (Steve) Hammonds of Rome, Ga.; three sons, Kenneth (Judy) Winkles of Piedmont, Jimmy (Linda) Winkles and Jeffry Winkles, both of Centre; three sisters, Edna Gray of Collinsville, Agnes Parrish of Blue Ridge, Ga. and Shirley Willingham of Leesburg, two brothers, Tommy Frost of Montevallo and Randall Frost of Blue Ridge, Ga., nine grandchldren, 17 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Winkles was proceeded in death by her son, Donnie Winkles; her father Tom Frost; two sisters, Maggie Thacker and Annie Horton and a brother Calvin Frost.
