Son of John Bruce and Elizabeth Clay.

His is a twin brother of Alexander Bruce.

Constantine Bruce, was the "Daniel Boone" of the family. He cared only for the dog and gun, and loved the chase more than the business pursuits of men.

Constantine showing up as a laborer in the 1850 census for Calhoun Co., IL, 70-80 miles away on the opposite side of the Mississippi River. It is likely that when Constantine died in the 1850's either in Illinois or Missouri, that he would be buried with Sophia in Missouri.
