John A. Goff passed away on Wednesday, December 7, 2022 at the age of 84.
He was born in New Orleans, LA to the late Frank Michael Goff and Lela Clayton Goff.
He is the beloved husband for 64 years to Wilma Marie Goff.
Devoted father of Charlene Goff Templet (Al) and Dwayne Goff, Sr. (Michelle) and the loving grandfather of Carly Templet Glatter (Drake), Dwayne Goff, Jr., Courtney Templet, Diana Goff, and Abby Goff. Brother of Lorraine Goff Steltz (George), the late Frank Goff, and the late Floyd Goff (late, Bernice). Uncle of Keith Steltz, Kathy Steltz Couget, Thomas Gerald Causey, Jr., and the late Michael P. Goff.
John worked for several years at American Can Company and retired in 2000 after a lengthy career working at Tenneco, Mobil, and finally Exxon Mobil.
He enjoyed many outdoor activities with his family and friends – especially golf, boating, fishing, and watching LSU sports. He also enjoyed traveling the world with his wife and lifelong friends.
He was an active member of the Golden Ages Club and the Diamond Club.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Services at Garden of Memories Funeral Home, 4900 Airline Drive, Metairie, LA 70001 on Monday, December 12, 2022. Visitation will begin at 11:00 am with a service starting at 1:00 pm followed by interment in Greenwood Cemetery in New Orleans, LA.
