NOTE: I do not have confirmation of Mary Lou's burial location. However, there is no other memorial for her in FindaGrave at this time and I believe it likely that she is buried in the same location as her husband. I hope to find a cemetery marker for her soon.

Mary Lou (Adsit) Sprague, loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister

JAMESTOWN -- Mary Lou (Adsit) Sprague, formerly of Cuba Lake and Waverly, Ohio, passed away at the couple's home, at 37 Gifford Avenue, Jamestown, NY on Wednesday, June 16, 2021 after a lengthy illness.

She was born September 21, 1930 in Redfield, NY at the home of her parents, C. Lee and Anna Balcom Adsit. She was later married in the same home to Peter R Sprague, on August 26, 1951, who survives,

Mary Lou graduated from Sandy Creek Central School and attended Alfred State College, training as a Medical Laboratory Technician. After her four children had completed college, all with bachelor's degrees, she returned to college. She registered at St Bonaventure University as a day time student and after several years earned a Bachelor's degree with a major in accounting.

Family was always first in Mary Lou's life. She was an excellent seamstress and enjoyed sewing clothes for her children in their younger years. She and her husband were members of the Cuba United Methodist Church and she served on the Cuba Memorial Hospital Board. In retirement she and her husband enjoyed RV'ing across the country.

The couple were the parents of four children who survive;

Elizabeth (the late Frederic) Edwards, Catherine (David) Stimson, Patricia (the late Gregory) Kuhrtz and James (Lisa Robinson) Sprague.

In addition, she has eight grandchildren and ten great grandchildren, a brother Norman L Adsit as well as numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

Final arrangements are incomplete and will be at the convenience of the family.

Memorial gifts if desired should be made to the charity of choice of the donor.
