From the Champaign-Urbana News Gazette, Sunday, March 16, 2008. Georgia Rogers, 83, of St. Joseph passed away at 1PM Friday, March 14, 2008 at Helia Healthcare of Urbana. She was a daughter of Isac and Margaret Tester Bear. She married Bernard "Buck" Rogers on January 28, 1941, in Kentucky. He preceeded her on February 29, 2000. She is survived by two sons, Elbert and Mike both of Homer; two daughters, Margaret Shirley, Homer and Cathy Roberts, Rantoul; 14 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren abd great-great-grandchildren. She was preceeded in death by her parents and daughter, Georgia Shelby.∼Georgia V. Rogers, age 83, of St. Joseph passed away at 1 p.m. Friday, March 14, 2008, at Helia Healthcare of Urbana.
Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, March, 18, 2008, at Old Homer Cemetery north of Homer. Freese Funeral Home, 302 E. Grand St. Joseph, is handling arrangements.
