Dorlus May Moore, daughter of the late John T. Snider
and Emma Lee Clifft Snider, was born on March 16,
1917, at Malden and died in the Malden Nursing Center
on Dec. 30, 2004, at the age of 87.
Mrs. Moore was a member of the Bernie General Baptist
Church, had worked as a cook in the Bernie Public
Schools until her retirement and was a resident of
Bernie.
She was united in marriage to Floyd Rudolph Moore on
June 15, 1934. He preceded her in death on Oct. 3,
1996.
Survivors include three sons, Wendel Moore, Jack Moore
and Larry Moore, all of Bernie; one daughter, Mary
Crites of Springfield, Ill.; two brothers, Pete Snider
of Dexter and Glen Snider of Georgia; one sister,
Betty Irvin of Dexter; eight grandchildren; 11
great-grandchildren; and several
great-great-granchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband;
and two brothers, Cliff Snider and Edward Snider.
Visitation was held from 5-8 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 1,
2005, at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Bernie.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m.
Sunday, Jan. 2, 2005, with Rev. Steve Fitzpatrick
officiating.
Interment will follow in the Smith-Stevenson Cemetery
in rural Dexter
(same stone as Floyd Moore)
