Robert "Bob" Anthony Buzbee was born near Bright Star, Miller County, Arkansas. He was the son and youngest of seven children of Eli R. and Pheriba Stuckey Buzbee. Bob grew up in the Bright Star Community. He was a farmer. Early his in life he joined the Olive Branch Methodist Church. He also became a member of the Bright Star Masonic Lodge. His first marriage was to Emma L. (Dodd) Roberts. They had one daughter: Othella, who died as an infant. Emma Buzbee died in 1897.

On December 9 Bob Buzbee married widow, Cumie Corbett whom he had known all his life. Bob and Cumie Buzbee made their home in Bright Star. They became the parents of five children, all born in Miller County.

In 1916 they decided to move to Texas. They bought a farm near the Courtland Church in Cass County, and there they remained the rest of their lives. They took a great interest in the betterment of the community and were always ready to help a neighbor.

Bob died of a stroke on October 14, 1949.

The children of Bob and Cumie were: Hobson Ostico, Nellie Bly, Robert Jefferson, Millie Gladys, and Champ Clark.
