Lucas William Finegan, 22, Staff Sergeant, United States Air Force, of Coventry, passed away on Monday, April 24, 2023 in Abilene, Texas.

Born in Providence on November 2, 2000, he was the loving son of Douglas P. Finegan of Coventry and the late Hollie S. Sheldon and the beloved step-son of Chelsea N. (Giovanniello) Finegan.

Lucas was raised in Coventry and was a graduate of Coventry High School. He honorably served as a Staff Sergeant in the United States Air Force for the past three and a half years until his passing.

Lucas loved Magic: The Gathering, singing, fishing and spending time on the lake, reading and writing FanFiction. He especially enjoyed time spent with his family and friends.

In addition to his beloved father and step-mother, Lucas is survived by his loving siblings: Riley D. Finegan, Miles E. Finegan and Emma M. Finegan, all at home in Coventry; grandparents: John and Barbara Finegan and Joyce Porter and Glen Frederick.

A Graveside Committal with Full Military Honors was held on Friday morning, May 5, 2023 in Rathbun Cemetery, 125-127 Maple Street, Coventry.

Funeral arrangements under the direction and care of the Iannotti Funeral Home at Maple Root, 2000 Nooseneck Hill Road , Coventry, Rhode Island.
