She graduated from Owen High School in 1964 and earned her associate degree from A.B. Technical College in Asheville. She met Don in September 1967, and they married 3 months later. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Almeta Tweed; sister, Shirley McDonald; and brother Robert Tweed. Surviving are her husband of 55 years, Donald Plemmons; children, Jennifer Plemmons Crosswell (Brad) and Donny Plemmons (Rhonda); grandchildren, Hannah Gaddis (Josh), Maddie Crosswell, Courtlynn Plemmons, and Autumn Plemmons; great grandson, Adam Gaddis; and brother, Larry Tweed (Brenda).
