Kenneth Eugene & Marion Eloise Geason. Our beloved parents Kenneth Eugene Geason, age 92, and Marion Eloise Geason (Marg), age 91, both peacefully passed away on Monday June 6th, 2022 in their Eden Prairie home of 52 years. They passed away just 5 1/2 hours apart from one another, surrounded by their children.
Their sweet love story began at a military dance when their eyes met across a crowded room. It was love at first sight, and they began dating and married 6 months later on December 10th, 1951. Together they celebrated 70 wonderful years of marriage.
Kenneth will be remembered as a firm, loving father who was very proud of each of his children. He had a deep devotion to God and his cherished wife. Marion will be remembered as the glue that held it all together, as she had the ability of making each of her 11 children feel loved and special. The pair modeled what a Christian marriage should be like and shared an immense love for their family.
They are survived by their 10 children: Dawn Chambers, Chris (Julie) Geason, Wendy (Karl) Nichols, Maryellen (Mike) Evans, Laura (Dan) Carlson, Jenny (Don) Hayden, Becky (John) Moriarty, Angela (Steve) Berg, Janell (Paolo) Valli, Kevin (Missy) Geason; 24 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild due in October.
They are also survived by Kenneth's sister, Jean and Marion's sisters Ellen (Gary Sr.) Witt, Diane Carlson and her sisters-in-law Barbara Marg and Shirley Marg. Kenneth and Marion were preceded in death by their eldest daughter Cheri (Scott) Anderson and granddaughter, Jessica Rooney.
The family honored their parents in a private funeral service on Tuesday June 14th at St. Hubert's Catholic Church in Chanhassen, MN.
