Ann Henry passed away on Friday, April 28, 2023, at the age of 88. She died peacefully, surrounded by her three sons. Ann was born in Hopkinsville, Kentucky on December 26th, 1934. The daughter of Henry and Elizabeth Abernathy, she attended Bethel College before transferring to the University of Kentucky. She earned her Bachelor's Degree in Journalism and became a staff member for he Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority Organization. Shortly after starting her career Ann earned her MRS degree, marrying her college sweetheart William Henry in 1956 and starting a family.

In 1977 she returned to the work force, becoming an English as a Second Language teacher. As she was working, she entered George Mason University and earned her Master's Degree in Education. Over the course of her career she served in Fairfax County Public Schools (VA), Savannah -Chatham County Public Schools (GA) and finally for Montgomery County Public Schools (MD) where she won numerous awards for her skills and dedication. Ann is survived by her 3 sons Scott, Mike and Neil, her daughters-in-law Gretchen, Patty and Debby and her 6 loving grandchildren Caitlin, Libby, Jake, Kelly, Will and Brett.
