Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday, January 23, 2010 at Prairie Rose Funeral Home in Anthony with Reverend Jim Anderson officiating. Burial will be in Burchfiel Cemetery, south of Anthony. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. tl 8:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Memorials may be given to the Anthony Church of the Nazarene or to the Burchfiel Cemetery and may be sent in care of the funeral home. Prairie Rose Funeral Homes, Inc., 602 E. Main St., Anthony, KS 67003, is in charge of arrangements.

Juanita J. Reneau was born March 25, 1926 in Sharon, Kansas to James Franklin and Lenna (Babcock) Adams. She graduated from Attica High School. On March 16, 1945, Juanita was united in marriage with Elbert E. "Tuffy" Reneau. This union was blessed with three children: Lenna Louise, Wanda and Darrel. The family lived in the Burchfiel Community, Waldron and Anthony. They farmed and Juanita spent her days raising chickens and milking cows so she could seel the cream, but most of all raising her children. After raising her family, Juanita went to work at the Anthony Hospital as a cook. Juanita was a member of the Anthony Church of the Nazarene. Juanita departed this early life on Wednesday, January 20, 2010 at the Anthony Hospital at the age of 83 years, 9 months and 26 days. She was preceded in death by her husband, Elbert on January 18, 1991; her parents; and all of her brothers: Ulysses, Jim, Alvin, Floyd and Ivan. She will be deeply missed by her children: Lenna Louise Stringer and husband Mel of El Dorado, KS, Wanda Holden and husband, Bill of Wakita, OK, and Darrel Reneau and wife, Dona of Wakita; 11 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Irene Adams of Anthony and Charlene Olivier of Enid, Ok; brother-in-law, Delbert Reneau of Enid, OK; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
