Stuart H. Ankeney, 61, owner of the Ankeney Advertising agency, died 6 p.m. yesterday at his residence, 53 Peach Orchard Road.
Born in Des Moines, Iowa, he lived in Dayton 30 years. Before establishing his own firm, he served as advertising manager for the Davis Sewing Machine company and was vice president of the Horace Lytle company.
Mr. Ankeney was a member and past president of the Dayton Advertising club.
Surviving are his wife, Leyda C.; two daughters, Charlotte and Mrs. Henry Weber, both of DAyton, and two sisters, Mrs. Jesse Steveson of Des Moines, and Mrs. Alice Von Enela of Eustia, Fla. Services and burial will be held Monday in Des Moines. Friends may call at the Bradford and Routsong funeral home, Brown street and Irving avenue, tomorrow afternoon and evening.
