Alan F. Breitbach was the son of Frank Leo Breitbach (sometimes his name appears as Leo Francis Breitbach) and Mary Ellen (Cairns) Breitbach. In 1957-1959, Al was a High School Science Teacher, Driver's Education Instructor, Girls' Basketball and Softball Coach, and Junior High Girls' and Boys' Sports Coach at the Waterville Consolidated School District in Waterville, Iowa. Alan enjoyed being a teacher and later working for many years on the Milwaukee Railroad as a Foreman until his retirement. He loved fishing, gardening, and teaching all 5 of his grandchildren how to drive and teasing them.
On September 3, 1977, Allan married Dorothy (Buchholz) Pearson, a widow. They enjoyed 43 years of marriage together. Above everything, he loved his family. Al's smiles, teasing, many stories, and his huge sense of humor will be sadly missed.
