Mrs. Linda Faye Smith Bennett, 77, of Calhoun, passed away Friday, April 28, 2023 in Dalton – Regency Park after a period of declining health.

Mrs. Bennett was born in Whitfield County on April 1, 1946, the daughter of the late Wilson and Ruby Stone Smith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Lamar Bennett in 2007 and a brother, Billy Smith. Prior to retirement, she was employed by Wal-Mart.

Survivors include her daughter, Melynda Webster; her son, Eddie Cloer, and his wife Kim; grandchildren, Bailey, Noah, and Matt Cloer, Anthony Silvers, and Autumn Silvers; four great-grandchildren; sisters, Jane Roberts and her husband, Rev. William Roberts, Marlene Underhill; brother, Steve Smith and his wife Kathy; nieces, nephews and other relatives.

A service to celebrate her life will be held Monday, May 1st at 1:00 PM from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home with Rev(s) Benny Roberts and Steve Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Sugar Valley Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers serving include, Bailey Cloer, Noah Cloer, Matt Cloer, Brian Hayes, Jamie Hayes, and Andy Roberts.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, April 30th between the hours 0f 3;00 PM until 8:00 PM.
