On July 11, 2012 several of the Great Grandchildren went to Burke county and placed a Grave Stone on the grave of their Great Grandmother Margrete. Several others helped with this project but unable to attend. We wanted to leave a lasting tribute to her.

Peggy is the daughter of William Brown Mann and Leticia Wilkins. She was born in Person county, NC and is a sister to Mary Ann, John C, George P, Sarah, William Harley and Susan Elizabeth Mann.

Peggy married Thomas G Guffey and they are the parents of C D, Charles E, William Calvin, Mary, Roxianna Elizabeth Guffey Rogers and Elara Samantha Guffey Forrester. This family lived in Macon county, NC. The sons moved to Fort Worth, TX.

Peggy was admitted to the asylum at age 60 in 1912, just before Christmas. She was cared for here for almost 12 years and died of enterocolitis.
