Clarence Eugene "Gene" Hicklin, 69, passed away unexpectedly Thursday in Union Medical Center. He was the son of the late Robert Austin and Rosie Lee Weaver Austin. Mr. Hicklin is survived by two sisters, Barbara McKeown of Carlisle and Linda Faulkner of Great Falls; two nieces, Christy Melton-Colorado (Israel) of Union, SC, Anita Baker of Great Falls; two nephews, Ronnie Byars (Tommy) of Chester, Franklin Faulkner, Jr. of Great Falls; five great nephews; one great-niece, one great-great niece; one great-great nephew.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Robert "Bobby" Austin and one niece, Bobbie Jo Byars Going.
Mr. Kenneth "Hutch" Hutchins will conduct the celebration of Life service for Gene at 6:00 p.m. Monday, May 1, 2023 in the Chapel of Pollard Funeral Home.
