Mrs. Anna A. Young, 89, of 2351 Young Rd., Gladwin, died Friday, April 11, at Clare Nursing Home following a long illness. Born in Darke County, Ohio, November 30, 1885, she had been a resident of Gladwin County for 55 years. The former Anna Keiser and J. A. Young were married April 12, 1912, in Decatur, Ind., and he died July 23, 1942.
Surviving are 5 sons, Clarence and Gordon of Gladwin, Eugene of Detroit, Franklin of Madison Heights, and James of Taylor; 2 daughters, Mrs. Alverda Page of Burton, and Mrs. Beatrice Russell of St. Clair Shores; and 37 grandchildren. Two daughters also preceded her in death.
Services were held Monday at 2 p.m. at Hall Funeral Home, Gladwin Chapel, with the Rev. Byron Hatch officiating. Burial was in Ridge Cemetery. Gladwin County Record dated 4-16/1975 Column – 6 Page – 2.
