Mamie is the daughter of James Shelton and Lula Allen.

She was born and reared in Broken Arrow, Walton County, GA with sister, Lou, and brothers John and Claude.

She married Millard Harrison Allen, a carpenter by trade, and with him had three children; Mildred Louise Allen Waggoner, Roland Earl and Millard Harrison "Harry" Allen.

Mamie was admitted here just 22 days before her death of pellagra and psychosis.

Her son, Harry, would be admitted here many years later after serving time in prison for murdering his sister, Louise. He, too, is buried here.

Son, Roland, is seen at age 19 as a soldier stationed in the Panama Canal Zone.
