Mrs. Martin (Maxine) Stanton, 53, of Wells Township, Route 4, Faribault, died on Monday, Jan. 2, at the Rice County District One Hospital following an extended illness. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, Jan. 5, at 11 a.m. at the Sacred Heart Church with the Rev. Dennis Lally officiating. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery. Friends and relatives may call at the Parker-Kohl Funeral Home after 3 p.m. Wednesday until the hour of services Thursday morning. Parish vigil prayers will be recited Wednesday at 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Members of the Faribault Aerie 1460, Fraternal Order of Eagles Auxiliary will conduct a memorial service Wednesday at 7 p.m. at the funeral home.

Maxine Cecelia Stanton was born in Faribault March 2, 1924, to Alfred and Ellen Chavie Chappuis. She married Martin Stanton on Aug. 3, 1943, in Faribault. She is survived by her husband, Martin; two daughters: Mrs. Dave (Mary Kay) Rech and Kimberly Stanton, both of Faribault; four sons: Michael, Patrick and Peter of Minneapolis and Robert of Faribault; Her mother, Mrs. Nicholas Friedman of Faribault; two sisters: Mrs. Fred (Constance) Lockwood of Grand Round, Ore., and Mrs. Harold (Joann) Barry of LaHabra, Calif.; one brother, Gordon Chappuis of Faribault. She was preceded in death by her father, Alfred Chappuis in 1966.
