Rhonda Kaye Goode better known as "Bunny" was born on Easter Sunday March 29, 1970, to the late Emmitt and Clara Bland. This is how she received her nickname, Bunny.
Rhonda was a native of Dinwiddie County where she resided in Church Road VA, until she relocated to Petersburg VA. She was a 1988 graduate of Dinwiddie County Senior High School, where pursued a career as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
Rhonda worked as an LPN for over 19 years and was employed at Southside Virginia Training Center, Central State Hospital, Riverside Regional Jail, and later Greensville Correctional Center, where she retired due to prolonged health issues.
Rhonda was a dedicated and lifelong member of St. Peter's Church. She later served as the President of the Hospitality Committee, a role she proudly accepted after following in the footsteps of her aunts. Rhonda also belonged to a motorcycle club Lady Panthers.
Rhonda was often referred to as a Diva because she took pride in her style of dress and often made fashion statements. She was a born socialite and loved to entertain and be around people. That was evident by her family gatherings and the many cookouts she loved to host. There wasn't a place or function where you couldn't go, and someone didn't know Bunny. Bunny's heart and great love was her pet Pug dog, named "Bruno" whom she often referred to as Mommas Boy. A name he proudly wears on the chain around his neck as a symbol of her love.
Rhonda was preceded in death by her late parents Emmitt A. Bland and Clara B. Bland. Clarissa A. Bland (Sister/Best Friend) and brother Stanley "Kenny" Bland.
