Mike E. Maul, 59, of Parkersburg died Tuesday October 28, 2008 at his home. He was born in Parkersburg a son of the late Lloyd B. "Henry" and Virginia "Dottie" Maul. He retired in 1999 from NCR/AT&T and was a member of Seventh Street United Methodist Church. He served as secretary for the Mountain State Sportsman Association. He enjoyed the outdoors, and astronomy, and walked every day. He was a strong supporter of the school system and taught a class on caving at the college. He was also the gate keeper for Cedar Grove Cemetery. He helped with the Scouts and received an honorary Eagle Scout pin.
He is survived by his wife of 36 years Darcella (Paxton) Maul; three children and their spouses Traci and Todd Westfall of Hurricane, WV, Jami and Chris Rice, and Casi and Jessica Maul all of Virginia Beach, VA; and six grandchildren David, Joshi, and Sarah Westfall, and Isaac, Cayla, and Cobi Maul.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his father and mother-in-law Nan and Pop who he was very close to.
Services will be Friday 11:00 AM at Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg with Reverend L. Norman Butler officiating. Burial will be at Floral Hills Garden of Memories in Pocatalico, WV. Visitation will be Thursday 2-4 and 6-8 PM.
