Funeral services for Tigner E. White, 85, well known Claiborne parish citizen, were held Wednesday, August 3 at 3 p.m. at the Chapel of Conger Funeral Home of Arcadia, with Rev. Jack Bennett, pastor of the First Presbyterian Church officiating. Interment was in the Salem Cemetery at Athens.

Mr. White died Tuesday, August 2, at the Homer Memorial Hospital, following an illness of several months.

Surviving are three sisters, Mrs. Tiny Martin of Haynesville, Mrs. Fannie Woodard of Minden and Mrs. Mary Jennings of Homer; three brothers, Ben White of Haynesville, Tom White of Athens and Marcus White of Homer.

Also surviving are three grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
