She was born Nov. 12, 1913, to the late Frank and Rebecca Saucer Ammerman in Grafton, W.Va. She lived in Webster County since 1926, and was a homemaker, and belonged to the First Baptist Church in Webster Springs, W.Va. Gwendolyn enjoyed sewing, gardening and cooking.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a grandson.

Funeral service was 1 p.m. Tuesday, May 25, 2004, at Dodd & Reed Funeral Home, Webster Springs, with the Rev. Nelson Harris of Summersville, W.Va., officiating. Burial will be in Miller Mount Zion Cemetery, Webster Springs.
Visitation was 6 to 9 p.m. Monday, May 24, 2004, at the funeral home.
