Son of Charles Wilson
and Mary (Bywater) Wilson

Married Clara E. Davidson
11 Nov 1969; San Mateo, CA

Frank P. Wilson tended bar at Al's Cafe. He wasn't
your usual kind of bartender as he was "really a
very shy man." Yet he served almost twenty years
(20). A friend recalled how a drink Frank served
would almost be hidden in his very large hand and
said that Frank was a big and strong as a bartender
sometimes needs to be but spoke quietly and rarely
raised his voice. A gentle giant of a man, he worked
until cancer, which he eventually beat, caused him
to retire.

Frank had also been a pile driver, years before,
and helped in the building of the Golden Gate
and Bay bridges.

He was a member of the Bartenders and
Culinary Workers Union of San Mateo, CA

He was survived by his wife, Clara, who because
of her jobs here was well known by many persons.
Mrs Wilson was a waitress working at Mari's Point
Restaurant alone for over seventeen (17) years,
but also having worked in elsewhere across the
years. Frank was also survived by two sisters in
Los Angeles; and by nieces and nephews.

A memorial mass was held at the Mary's Help
Chapel. Wilson's ashes were scattered at sea,
as it was an often expressed wish and, at night,
he loved to sit and listen to the ocean.
