Lonnie De Vault 84 Retired Carpenter

Funeral services for retired carpenter Lonnie E DeVault will be at 1 pm today at Southwest Baptist Church 835 SW 15th St. Fort Lauderdale. Mr. DeVault of 1406 S Miami Rd Fort Lauderdale died Wednesday at his home. He was 84. A native of Fairmont, WV, Mr. DeVault had lived in Broward County 29 years. Retired at the time of his death Mr. DeVault had been a carpenter for 19 years for Robert Hittel Contractors. Mr. DeVault was a deacon at Southwest Baptist Church. He also was a member of the Capenters Union Local 1394. Survivors include his wife Gladys H, two daughters Mrs. Madalyn Ware of Hollywood and Mrs. Jerry Martin of Crossville, Tenn, a son Carson C DeVault of Fort Lauderdale, two sisters Maxine Hacker of Fort Lauderdale and Mrs. Violet Wolfe of Fairmont, WV, a brother Worth DeVault of Fairmont, WV, nine grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. After the funeral Mr. DeVault will be buried at Lauderdale Memorial Garden. Funeral arrangements were handled by the Fairchild Funeral Home 299 N Federal Highway Fort Lauderdale.
