Was the son of William Henry Harrison Amick 1853-1938 and Ida Rose Zella Robins 1869-1936

in 1910 he worked at the local cannery and later he became a deputy in Jefferson ,Ind.
Three bandits drove away from a station without paying for gas. Deputy Harold Amick was shot in the head after he innocently approached the bandits car to investigate an accident after it had run into a garage. Also officer John Pfaffenberg was shot and killed. The 22 year old killer Edward Collin was electrocuted Oct 1934.
