James K.Cyphert,who was born and lived in Limestone Twp.Clarion Co.,until about twenty years ago,was a son of Solomon and Nancy Kerr Cyphert.
He was born in 1838 and died at his home in Brookville,Wednesday,March 12,1914,at the age of 76yrs.At the call of his country he served four yrs in the Civil War as a member of the 105th Regt.Pa.Vols.
Mr.Cyphert was never married.
He is survived by three brothers,Charles of Kingsville,John,of Los Angeles,Cal.and Theo O,Connel,Colly,Wash.and one sister,Mrs.H.H.Crate of Brookville. Two brothers,Henry and Michael,preceded him in death.The funeral was held from the residence of his sister in Brookville last Saturday and interment took place in the Brookville cemetery.
The following relatives from this county attended the obsequies:Charles,J.A.,D.O.,A.J. and James F.Cyphert and H.C.Aaron,all of Kingsville,and R.H.and J.W.Cyphert,of Clarion.
