Raymond Green

Raymond Green, 78 of Cameron died Sunday, November 14, 2004 in a Temple hospital. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at Marek-Burns-Laywell Funeral Home in Cameron with Rev. Gary Maroney and Rev. James E. Lafferty officiating. Burial will follow in the Oak Hill Cemetery. Family visitation will be held Monday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Green was born July 31, 1926 in the Tracy Community of Milam County to Roy Lee and Eunice Mabel (Fleming) Green. He graduated from Sharp High School. He served in the Merchant Marines and then in the U. S. Army during World War II where he served in Korea. Mr. Green married Winnie Mae Craddock on August 16, 1947 at the First Baptist Church in Cameron. He retired from TXU in Rockdale as a computer technician after 31-1/2 years of service. He was a life member of the Cameron VFW Post 2010 and a member of the Senior Yoemen Club.

Survivors include: His wife Winnie Mae Green of Cameron; Son Raymond Craddock Green & wife Wendi of Fairfield; Daughter Mary Lee Mikulec & husband Myron of Cameron; Brother William Roy Green of Rockdale; 4 grandchildren: Jeremy Ray Green, Crystal Mikulec Fail, Jenny Lee Mikulec and Daniel Everett Baxley; 1 great grandchild: Reese Alvin Fail.
