Mary Frances Graf Nolte Ard, 91, of Stafford County, passed away Saturday, April 1, 2023 at her home.
Mary was born to George Graf and Mary Margaret Savago Graf on October 24, 1931, in Onaga, KS, the youngest of four children.
She was a caring woman who will be greatly missed by all her family and friends. Mary retired from federal civilian service following a more than 30-year career with the U.S. Department of Defense, and she was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband David Ard; her former husband Norbert Nolte, and their children Daniel Nolte, Marylin Mangrum, and Julie Durbin; her sister Rose Marie Graf Allen; and her brother Kenneth Graf.
The family will receive friends at Covenant Funeral Service, Stafford chapel, on Monday, April 17, 2023, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM.
A funeral mass will be held Tuesday, April 18, 2023, 11:30 AM at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Triangle, VA with entombment following at Sunset Memorial Gardens, Fredericksburg, VA.
Pallbearers will be Kenny Wine, Brandon Luck, Josh Bryant, Cal Loving, Marc Smith Jr, and Jeffrey Smith, with Madeline Wine as honorary pallbearer.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Onaga Historical Society, P.O. Box 61, Onaga, KS 66521, or to a local hospice organization.
