OBITUARY

BALKWILL, Thelma Kathleen
A service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 27 at Lents Seventh Day Adventist Church activity center, located next to the church, 8835 S.E. Woodstock Blvd., Portland OR 97266, for Mrs. Thelma Kathleen Balkwill of Vancouver who died Sept. 11, 2007.

Thelma spent most of her adult life in Portland. She attended Laurelwood Academy, Columbia Academy, and graduated from Walla Walla Academy. She later worked for Harris Pine Box Factory in Pendleton where she met Charles Balkwill and they married prior to the war.

She spent her life with a close relationship to God. She had always been the family cornerstone, adored and loved by all and recognized for her selfless contributions to anyone in need.

She is survived by her sister, Fern Eby; sons, Dale Anibal and Charles Balkwill; and daughter, Jill Drew. She was predeceased by her husband Charles and daughter Kathleen Wade.

Her boundless love filled the hearts of nine grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
