Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM, Friday, December 15, 2006 at Trinity United Methodist Church with Rev. Robert Crumbley and Rev. Charles Langford officiating. Interment will follow in Lakeview Memory Gardens, according to Colonial Funeral Home, 613 14th St. Phenix City.
Dr. Williams was born October 3, 1929 in Phenix City, son of the late Catherine Wakefield Williams and Frank W. Williams, Sr.
Dr. Williams graduated from Central High School in Phenix City. He received his BS and MS from the University of Alabama and his DMD from the University of Alabama School of Dentistry in 1956. He began his dental practice in Phenix City in 1956 where he remained until his retirement in 1990. Dr. Williams' memberships include the Alumni Association of the University of Alabama School of Dentistry, Alabama Dental Association and the American Dental Association. Dr. Williams was a member of Wilson Williams Masonic Lodge #351 of Phenix City, Zamora Temple of Birmingham, AL, Druid Chapter #421 O.E.S. in Tuscaloosa, AL, Royal Arch Mason & Member of Tuscaloosa Chapter #1 R.A.M. He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church where he was past president of Official Board. He was a past member of Chamber of Commerce in Phenix City and the Lions Club. He was also a past member of the Country Club of Columbus.
Dr. Williams was preceded in death by his son, Frank W. Williams, III. Survivors include his wife Margaret Williams of Phenix City, sister Catherine W. Doyle of Navarre, FL; nephew Jimmy Doyle and wife Dorenda of Cullman, AL; niece Anne D. Colafrancesco and husband Steve of Leeds, AL; 7 great nieces and nephews; 7 great great nieces and nephews and two god children Ellis Bunn and Mason Bunn, of Columbus, GA.
