Mary Ann Makar Freeman was born May 4, 1937, in Berwick, Pennsylvania, to Anna and John Makar. After graduating with honors from Berwick High School she began her secretarial career at Wise Potato Chip (Wise Foods) where she became executive secretary to the president of the company then owned by Borden Foods. She was active in Professional and Businesswomen, Saints Cyril & Methodius Ukraine Catholic Church, National Secretarial Association.
She married L. Otis Freeman, and they enjoyed twenty-one years of marriage before his passing. While living in Kalamazoo, Michigan, she worked as an administrative assistant in a major health complex. Upon retirement Mary Ann and Otis moved to Hobart, Oklahoma, where she became well-known as an antique dealer.
Mary Ann was a member of Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Hobart, where she was sacristan for many years and worked training altar servers.
She was preceded in death by her husband Leon Otis Freeman and her parents. She is survived by a sister, Barbara Makar, East Norriton, PA, numerous cousins and a host of other relatives and friends.
Public viewing for Mary Ann will begin Tuesday, April 18, 2023, 2:00 P.M. ~ 8:00 P.M., at People's Funeral Home Lone Wolf, located at 1400 West Main, with Rosary beginning at 6:00 P.M...

Mass Services are scheduled for Wednesday, April 19, 2023, 10:00 A.M., at the St. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Hobart, Oklahoma, with Father Swami officiating.

Interment will be on April 20, 2023 at 2:00 P.M. in the Ft. Sill National Cemetery, Elgin, Oklahoma.
