Port Wentworth - Gary Callaway passed away on April 12,
2023 at Heritage Inn Health and Rehabilitation in Statesboro,
Georgia after a long illness.
Gary lived the majority of his life in Port Wentworth, Georgia
and was a member of First Baptist Church of Port Wentworth.
He had lived in Bulloch County for the past several years.
He is preceded in death by his father, Wilton Ivy Callaway, his
mother, Wilma Sapp Callaway and his nephew, Mark Ivey
Callaway.
He is survived by one son, Matthew Scott Callaway; five
grandchildren; one brother, Gilbert Callaway of Rincon; three
sisters, Jean Hinely of Port Wentworth, Elaine Sherrod (Jerry)
of Springfield and Cheryl Arnsdorff of Clyo; and a large
number of nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at Forest Lawn Memory
Gardens in Savannah, Georgia on Tuesday, April 18, 2023 at 1:30 pm.
