Judith (Judy) Elaine Carter Feist passed into glory and to her new mansion in heaven on April 6, 2023. She was born March 17, 1940, to George N. Carter and Floy Carter in Levelland, Texas, and grew up in the Pecos / Van Horn area of Texas. Her family moved to San Angelo, Texas, in 1958. She married Wilfrid (Kelly) Feist in 1959 and lived in San Angelo until 1980. After that she also lived in Sonora, TX, Abilene, TX, Austin, TX, and Georgetown, TX. Judy proudly served as District Deputy of Catholic Daughters of America and attended Angelo State University and Incarnate Word College. She served as Religious Education Coordinator at Holy Angels Catholic Church in San Angelo for 14 years. Judy was very talented at dressmaking, cross-stitch, and quilting. Judy is survived by her children Kathryn Wood, Kelly Don Feist, and Marilyn Feist; 11 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, her sister, Floy Pollack, her brother, Wendell Carter, and many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brothers, George D. Carter and Roy Carter. A Rosary will be held on Friday, May 12, 2023, at 7:00pm, and a funeral mass for Judy will be celebrated at Holy Angels Catholic Church in San Angelo, Texas, on Saturday, May 13, 2023, at 10:30am. Judy requested that the church be filled with beautiful, colorful flowers on the day of her funeral.
