Clara S. Yoder, 85, of Arthur died at 1:40 a.m. Tuesday (Oct. 11, 2016) at home.

Clara was born on September 28, 1931 in Arthur, a daughter of Solomon D. and Maryan (Stutzman) Beachy. She married Noah J. Yoder on November 29, 1951 in Arthur. He passed away on December 21, 2003.

Clara is survived by two sons, Glenn Yoder and his wife Irma and Wilmer Yoder and his wife Rosemary; one daughter, Marie Herschberger; one sister, Barbara Otto; one brother, Elmer Beachy; one brother-in-law, Ezra Plank; eight grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren and three step-great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by one son, Willard Yoder; two grandsons, Richard Yoder and Phillip Yoder; her parents; two sisters, Alma Plank and Edna Plank; two brothers-in-law, Andy Plank and John Otto and one sister-in-law, Millie Beachy.

Clara had worked at the Country Shoe Shop in rural Arthur for several years.

Clara was a member of the Old Order Amish Church.
