CALEDONIA, Minn.- Barbara A. Aasum, 54, of Caledonia, died March 6, 1988 in Lutheran Hospital, LaCrosse, after a brief illness. She was born Dec. 10, 1933, in Caledonia to Clifford and Pearl Rostad Lee. She married Sidney Aasum on March 16, 1957. She attended the Beaver Ridge Grade School and was a 1952 graduate of Caledonia High School. She was lifelong resident of the Caledonia area. She had worked at Gengler's Cold Storage of Caledonia and at Caledonia High School. Since 1959, she had operated a family day care center from her home until her illness. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Caledonia, the Immanuel Women's Group and American Legion Axillary of Caledonia.

Survivors include her husband; her parents of Caledonia; two sons, Randy and Nathan of Caledonia; two daughters, Lori Meyer of Eitzen and Sherree Koch of Spring Valley, Minn. and three grandchildren.

Services were held Wednesday at Immanuel Lutheran Church, the Revs. Rolf Storlie and Kent Otterman officiating. Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery in Caledonia.
