Sharlyn aka "Hot Rod Hannah" passed away on April 12, 2023 at Christus Mother Frances – Tyler.

Sharlyn was born in Omaha, Nebraska on August 24, 1939 the daughter of Meryl and Thelma Slack.

She graduated from Benson High School in 1957 and worked at Douglas County Courthouse until her retirement in 1997 and moved to Texas to follow her daughter. Sharlyn had many hats as her children were growing up Bluebird/Campfire leader, Hillside Elementary School Board, Head Room Mother, Sunday School Teacher, Reading Aide, and Avon lady. After moving to Texas she worked briefly at Professional Land & Title, she made many friends working at Picture Show Video, and finally retired for good after working at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home. She was involved with Main St Theatre – Community Players and Heritage Quilt Guild.

She went to the Little League World Series with her son's baseball team and then continued to enjoy the game watching her grandsons and great-grandsons play in Texas and didn't miss any home games. She also made sure to attend every performance, recital, game, or any other events her grandkids were involved in. However what brought her the most joy was the job that paid the most, helping raise her great-granddaughter Aria, it paid with lots & lots & lots of love, hugs, and adventures.

Those left to cherish her memories are her daughter, Sue Orwosky (Jeff); grandchildren, Jamie Young (Antwone), Jeremy Cameron (Candace), Jennifer Cameron (Roderick Nash), Josh Cameron (Brittnee), Austin Orwosky, Lincoln Orwosky, Price Orwosky (Maddie), Brooke Burger, and Matthew Gillespie; Great-grandchildren, Matthew, Maddux, James, Jacob, Addisyn, Aiden, Aria, Kyron, Raiden, Jetson, Kaison, Lainey, Maisey, Sierra, Sean, Savannah; and host of other bonus grandkids, family, and friends.
