CLYDE SHOEMAKER RITES MONDAY

CLYDE (RNS) ~~ Clyde Shoemaker, 64, died Friday at his home in Clyde after a lengthy illness.

Funeral will be held at 4 p.m. Monday in Colorado City's Oak Street Baptist Church, the Rev. Wendell Shirey officiating. Burial will be in Colorado City Cemetery under direction of Bailey Funeral Home.

Born November 25, 1904, in Scurry County, he married Gladys Mae Daniel May 10, 1944, in Sweetwater. He lived in Colorado City until moving to Clyde in 1963. He was a retired farmer and a member of Southside Baptist Church in Clyde.

Survivors include his wife of the home; two sons, Johnny of Houston and Ronny of Abilene; five daughters, Mrs. Mary Moore of Artesia, New Mexico, Mrs. Hazel Bradford of Iowa Park, Mrs. Lona Mae Johnson of Anchorage, Alaska, Mrs. Clydine Lassiter and Mrs. Betty Mangum of Clyde; 17 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; one brother, Kyle, of Stanton; three sisters, Mrs. Lona Allen of China Grove, Miss. Clara Shoemaker of Lordsburg, New Mexico, and Mrs. Louise Burke of Chesnee, South Carolina.
