Mary Bethel Bryant, 88, of Paris, passed away Friday, April 14, 2023, at Brentwood Terrace Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center.

Cremation was under the care and direction of Bright-Holland Funeral Home. A private memorial service will be held at a later date.

Mrs. Bryant, the daughter of John Preston Bozeman & Mittie Sherrer Bozeman, was born Sept. 1, 1934, in Ravenna, TX.

She received her Bachelor of Science Degree and her Master of Science Degree from East Texas Teacher's College. Later she received a Masters Degree in Special Education from the University of Houston. Mary worked as a bacteriologist for the State of Texas. She then taught biology at Paris Junior College and later taught Special Education in the North Lamar Independent School District.

Mary married Earl Bethel, and he preceded her in death in 1973. Later she married Lyle Bryant, and he preceded her in death.

Survivors include three sons, Anthony Bethel & wife Stacy, Tim Bethel, and Greg Bethel, grandchildren, Carmen Bethel, Benjamin Bethel, Will Bethel & wife Natalie, and Lindsey Blair Bethel, and one great grandchild, Joselyn Deline along with several nieces & nephews and a host of friends.
