Jane Frances Pattison was christened on the 6th December 1826 in Holy Trinity, Dorchester, the daughter of Robert & Jane Pattison, a Banker, She married the Hon. Anthony Henry Ashley-Cooper, son of Cropley Ashley-Cooper, 6th Earl of Shaftesbury and Lady Anne Spencer, on the 2nd October 1835, Henry died at Clewer Lodge, Windsor, Berkshire in 1858.
In the 1881 census, Jane is living at 59-60 High West Street, Dorchester, it states [but crossed out] - the widow of the Hon. Henry Ashley, In the 1891 census, Jane Frances Ashley, a widow, was living at Stratton Manor, High West Street, Dorchester, with her daughter's - Margaret J. Ashley & Emily de Satge & 8 servants.
Burial - 30th November 1893
