Florence was known as 'Flossy' to her friends and lived most of her life in Thetford Center, VT. On September 29, 1962, she married Warren A Bailey, Jr. They were married just shy of 60 years at his passing in 2022. The early years of their marriage included living in New Mexico and Connecticut until settling on Tucker Hill Road in Thetford Center to raise their children.
Florence was a hard worker who spent the early years of her marriage as a homemaker. When her children were older, she went to work outside of the home. She had many jobs throughout her life, which included working at Lou's restaurant, Johnsons Home center, Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical center and then at Dartmouth College until retirement. During this time frame, she also helped raise her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Florence loved to garden and was proud to show off her flowers. She was also a very talented crafter and would often make gifts for family and friends.
Surviving are her four sons: Ricky, Warren III, Victor and Joshua; her two daughters, Nanette and Tina, fifteen grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren, her sisters, Pamela, Cindy and Wendy, and a brother, Peter, as well as multiple extended family members.
She was predeceased by her husband, Warren, and her brothers, Russell and William, and two grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held in the Evergreen Rest Cemetery in Thetford Center, VT.
