Rita Carol ParrisLaurensRita Carol Parris, age 69, of Laurens, passed away on Friday, September 8, 2017, at National Healthcare Center of Laurens.Born in Laurens, she was the daughter of the late R.T. and Betty Campbell McGinty. Rita was a homemaker and was a member of Second Baptist Church.Surviving are four brothers, Ronnie McGinty and wife Rosie of Laurens, Donnie McGinty and wife Cathy of Woodruff, Stan McGinty and wife Rhonda of Laurens, and Jeff McGinty of Laurens; two grandchildren, and numerous loving nieces and nephews.In addition to her parents, Rita was predeceased by her two children, Brad Stewart and Tammy Stewart.A memorial service will be held at 3:00 pm on Sunday, September 17, 2017, at Second Baptist Church conducted by Rev. J.D. Shiflet.
