Catherine Anne Thompson, 86, of Tulsa, Oklahoma passed away on April 8, 2023.
Cat was born on January 25th, 1937 to Jack H. and Catherine Wills in Tulsa, OK. After graduating from Tulsa Central High School in 1955, she went on to Oklahoma A&M to study Fashion Design. A member of Pi Beta Phi sorority and the cheerleading team, Cat taught cheerleading throughout the southwest. She worked at her father's furniture store at 21st & Utica before going off to college and would help her brother out when he opened his first outdoor furniture store in Oklahoma City. She was so proud of the legacy her father and brother had created with fine furniture and the outdoor lifestyle. While at Oklahoma A & M, she met Bill Thompson and following their marriage they moved 24 times with General Motors - living many places around the United States and 3 years in both Wellington, New Zealand and Melbourne, Australia.
Cat was preceded in death by her parents; sister Jeanne Anne Williams; and her dear brother Jack H. Wills, Jr.
She is survived by her husband of 64 years, William (Bill) Lee Thompson. She and Bill have 2 children, Lee Thompson and CeAnne Blair of Tulsa and Broken Arrow, respectively. Lee and CeAnne each provided 4 grandchildren and just recently, 1 great-grandchild to the family.
