He was born in Lawrenceburg, TN on March 4, 1923 to the late John N. and Lena Burks Farr. He enjoyed his family, fishing, golfing, & boating. He served in the Navy during WWII.
Mr. Farr is survived by his wife, Hazel Farr; a daughter, Judy & Bob DeLaet of Miramar Beach, FL; two grandchildren, Robin & Phil Shelfer, and Mike & Michelle DeLaet; five great-grandchilren, Adrienne Haynes, Mike Topp, Hailey Shelfer, Adam DeLaet, and Nicholas DeLaet.
Along with his parents he is preceded in death by three brothers, Virgil Farr, Villard Farr, and Gaines Farr; and a sister, Emilie Farr.
Funeral services for Mr. Gentry D. Farr were held on Wednesday, January 16, 2008 at the Chapel of Lake Cumberland Funeral Home at 1:00pm with Bro. Roy Tincher officiating. Interment followed in the Lakeside Memorial Gardens.
