Jacob Allison Fisher was born on the family farm near Concord, Cabarrus County, NC. He was the son of John Fisher and Elizabeth Cline both of Cabarrus County.

He married Mary Caroline Barnhardt on June 7, 1854 and they were blessed to celebrate their Golden Wedding Anniversary on June 7, 1904.

They had 9 children together -
