Presumed father as (1), his male descendants are a direct Y-DNA match with descendants of Pvt William, Capt Samuel, & Lt Col George. (2), He was a generation older than Pvt William Wilson, Capt Samuel Wilson, & Lt Col George Wilson. (3) He lived on the Cowpasture in the early 1750s with then Capt (later Lt Col) George Wilson, and down the hill the from Pvt William and Capt Samuel up on Bullpasture Mountain. (4), Archelaus sold his Cowpasture property to Lt Col George in 1755, then moved with his youngest son Robert to Flat River, (then Orange Co) /llPerson Co, NC where Archelaus and Robert bought acreage next to each other. They worked for a time with Richard Holman/Holeman surveying North Carolina land in that area. According to Lt Col George's grandson's family Bible, Lt Col George was from Strabane, County Tyrone, Ireland and Lt Col George named his Westmoreland Co, PA plantation "Strabane" after his childhood home. It is presumed these other Wilson's came from Strabane. After emigrating here, these Wilsons lived in Chester Co, PA. and then lived in Cowpasture/Bullpasture. Robert married Ann Latta (b. 1729) and had a large family and had many children, including sons named Archelaus, George, William, and Samuel. Archelaus died in Person Co around 1780 as his Estate was probated there at that time.
